How to Protect Yourself from Sabotage Click
Sunday, March 30, 2008
It is definitely a nightmare for me and you to receive the notification email saying that your site has been disabled. Among all the reasons, invalid clicks and impressions found in your sites is the most common reason suggested by Google. I am sure over 80% of this case, publishers are totally innocent and must get frustrated by this. Instead, most of the time your site was getting sabotage clicks/click fraud. Click fraud occurs when a person, automated script, or computer program imitates a legitimate user of a web browser generate any click on an ad. These clicks are done for the purpose of either to terminate one's Adsense account or increasing the financial burden of the advertisers.
To prevent Adsense click fraud and protect your Adsense business, you should install a more sophisticated Adsense tracking tool and monitoring software, such as Adlogger, Sitemeter, Addfreestats, Extremetracking, etc on your Adsense website. You should constantly monitoring your Adsense site using those Adsense tracking tool in conjunction with your Google Adsense channel.
Those information and features include:
* Which Ad has been clicked
* The details of PPC Ads
* The time and origins of each click.
* The browsing history of each IP on your site
* Block certain IP from click on your Adsense Ads
* Alert you and stop multiple clicks from the same IP
With a more complex tracking tools installed on your website, it would be easier for you to spot any unusual and suspicious click activities on your websites. Once you have discovered unusual or suspicious activities on your Adsense site, you can alert your PPC companies (in this case Google Adsense Support Team) about these activities immediately and let them investigate the problem. This will provide your Adsense business minimum protection against click fraud.
Some of those advanced tracking tools will give you extra tracking information and features which are not provided at your Adsense Channel. Since different trackers have different technology to trace, they have their own stats and behavior for your site. You should make your own judgment for which stats to rely on.

Google's Click Fraud Detection System
Thursday, March 27, 2008
In general practice, Google uses a 3-stage detection methods to detect click frauds and invalid clicks:
1. Real Time Filters: In this stage, automated algorithms from Google filter out invalid clicks in real time. All the clicks are analyzed for click fraud. This stage detects most of the invalid clicks in advance and prevents those clicks from reaching your account in the first place.
2. Offline Analysis: After the first stage of real time filter, most of the invalid clicks are automatically filtered out. The second step involves manual analysis of clicks. This stage is mainly focused on the Adsense network. In case some invalid clicks still pass through this stage, Google has a policy that states that if you have been charged for invalid clicks in the past 2 months, you see a credit in your "Billing Summary" labeled "Adjustment-Click Quality".
3. Investigations: Almost all the clicks are filtered out in the first two stages itself. In the last stage of the 3-stage system, all the clicks and advertiser inquiries are investigated by the Google click quality system. If invalid clicks are detected, a refund is made to the advertiser.
Google takes click fraud protection to the advertisers very seriously and is doing a great deal of researches on updating its click fraud detection technology regularly. But on the publisher's side, I'm still afraid that the detection system is far from perfect, and hence often ban the innocent publishers. It is not hard to hear many publishers claiming that their Adsense account has been lost due to invalid clicks. How poor it is.

Importance of Inbound Links - How to get them?
Tuesday, March 18, 2008
In my previous post on Building Blog Traffic by Link Exchange, I mentioned that link exchange (reciprocal links) will no longer help you increase website popularity but will still help you gain targeted visitors to your site. This time, I am going to talk about one way inbound link, explain how important it is and why every webmaster should have as many as possible. One way inbound link worth a lot more than reciprocal links. Not only it can gain targeted visitors to your blog but also it will increase the search engine ranking (SERP) and in effect will bring you more traffic. Hence, link building is also known as "Off-page optimization" in SEO sense.
In real-life, it is never be easy to get inbound link, and in fact, you may need to pay much more time and money to get it. Say for example, many people buy one way inbound link from Da Gsense Codes for $20 a month.
What are the benefits of getting one way inbound links?
Search engine robots work by following links between websites and blogs. The more inbound links your blog has, the more often robots will visit your blog. Also, search engines assume that if lots of websites link to your blog it must be high quality. Many search engines count links to your blog as "votes" for you. Page Rank is Google's system of counting links.
The general rule is that the more inbound links you can get, the better. Getting more links should almost certainly be near the top of your priority list when optimizing your blog.
Now the problem is: how can you get them? There are many ways to get one way inbound link but the best way is simply to create blog posts which other webmasters will want to link to. These are known as natural links. Natural links have many advantages:
• Natural links will come to you without much effort except creating the content in the first place. You don't have to work to acquire them.
• The links will be diverse in nature as you will gain different anchor text.
• They are free and you don't have to reciprocate the link.
• The referring pages tend to be similarly themed. This is likely to become more important in the future.
If you are lucky you will attract enough natural links to give your blog a boost. However, most blogs need to make a lot of efforts to acquire inbound links.
Creating an effective online presence begins with quality content. After you put your heart and soul everyday into your works online, you might start to wonder when traffic will start rolling into your blog.

Build Blog Traffic by Link Exchange
Thursday, March 13, 2008
Some says link exchange will do more harm than good to your blog, but I don't agree. Link exchange, on one hand, can be a great way to increase your Page Rank and on the other hand, gain a better position in Google. Apart from that, you can get more traffic from the back links of other blogs. Now, this method has become less effective as it will no longer help you with site popularity but will still gain targeted visitors to your site.
Let me first tell you why link exchange will no longer help you increase website popularity before we go on building blog traffic through exchanging links the right way.
Many webmaster indulge in what I call spam indexing. These cheaters are targeting search engines that rely heavily on popularity and links. Some may buy links to raise popularity. Others engaged in exchanging links with anybody and everybody just to gain popularity. There are even dozen of small websites purposely made to link the main one just to give false view of website popularity.
While link exchange will no longer help you increase popularity, it retain it’s effectiveness to get targeted blog traffic. However there are a few points to remember.
1. Do link exchange with blogs and websites whose general theme are similar or complimentary to your blog.
2. Do link exchange only with blogs and websites you think will be valuable to your visitors. This is important for your own business reputation and Page Rank with Google.
3. Do not link exchange with blogs or website that has huge collections of links from anywhere and everywhere. These websites will not bring you any traffic and can actually get your blog banned by Google.
As you can see link exchanges will still do well to your blog. You just need to adapt to get the best possible use out of them. They will not affect your popularity much but as you can see might affect your Page Rank due to the type of websites you are partnering with. With these few points you can still gain targeted traffic and sales by using this method of promotion wisely.
If you are really serious of building blog traffics for weeks, months or even years without spending a dime on advertising, why don't you get a copy of Turn Words Into Traffic by Jim and Dallas Edward. I higly recommend this ebook.

Tools that Generate Money in Adsense
Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Further to my post on three money-making models in Adsense yesterday, I am going to share some of the successful Adsense tools to supplement the abovementioned models which can really help you to earn big bucks. But one thing I need to mention is that these tools are not free, and you need to spend money on them (except the last one which is a free information I would like to share with you). If you don't want to spend money, simply ignore them.
1. Adsense Videos
If you want to be taken by the hand by a Google Adsense guru and shown, step by step, what you need to do to make Adsense work best for you, then these videos from Michael Cheney are very highly recommended. Cheney proved that he really know his stuff by achieving the top spot in the ClickBank Google Adsense product ratings and you don't get there without high quality products and services.
2. Adsense Big
This product is referred to all over the internet as one of the best solutions to increase your Adsense earnings. Adsense Big is an advanced tracking system for Google's Adsense program. This script will show you what kind of content is generating the clicks, which ad formats and color combinations work best & which search engines and/or keywords to optimize for. You can definitely use the information to make more money. I did try, and quite satisfied with that.
3. HyperRE - Viral Adsense Software
It is a content generator, and can generate thousands fresh and unique content-rich webpage from highly-targeted keyword lists. Ever heard that "Content is King"? That's only half of it... "Fresh and unique Content is King"!
4. The Google Adsense Jerk
The information provided is free if you want to wait as it comes in over five days. If you want all the information immediately, then you have to pay (I recommend that you don't!). If you can put up with the smugness, the information provided is actually quite valuable.

Three Money-Making Models in Adsense
Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Not long before, I could still remember standing in awe when one adsense publisher claimed to be making over $50K a month from his Google Adsense and an another $50K from different affiliate products. In my mind, I could not help but believe that if he can do it, I can also do it and everyone can also be equally successful in generating high income revenue from Google Adsense monthly.
Several months later where I carried out research on Google Adsense, read more successful stories of people who were successful Google Adsense publishers, read a few ebooks on the subject, downloaded tools and webpage generating software. I realize that this is not a myth that I can hardly achieve.
My aim was simple, to uncover the successful methods and make at least one of these techniques as mine and be equally successful, if not better. My research uncovered 3 models that could lead to success. There might be more, but these 3 models figured prominently as I carried out my personal private research.
1. The Numbers Game Model
This model is based on the concept of build, build and build. By far this model was reported to be widely successful. Here, the key to maximizing Google Adsense revenue was to engage in a "numbers game". The more websites you build, the higher is the revenue provided your keyword research is well done.
A prominent feature of this model was to use some form of auto generating software that can generate directories or portals using a series of rotating templates, then uses RSS and blogging to maintain and update the sites on a daily basis. Care must be keenly exercised that the web site adheres to Google Adsense policy and to appear good from the search engines viewpoint.
2. The Content Model
When you derived high income Google Adsense revenue from a single or couples of blogs, most likely you are using the content model. In the content model, a blog is developed under a specific niche. Generally, the blogger begin to research for sets of keywords relative to the niche and then build the blog content consisting of several post around these keywords. The key to this type of model is high traffic generation cause by high quality content.
Popular successful bloggers often used the content model. They became popular because in time they built their credibility by constantly creating high quality content. Remember, high quality contents will lead to high traffic blog which will lead to high income Google Adsense revenue.
3. The Single Page Model
When you derived Google Adsense revenue from a single page site or blog then you are using the single page model. For this model to generate revenue, website promotion is very necessary. There are many ways to promote a website or blog. One can use automated software for article submission to win back links in return which will lead to traffic generation. There were reports that this model is successful, however I did not receive figures to substantiate this claim nor have seen any figures.
If you are a serious Google Adsense publisher, let me ask you this question. Which of the three models is applicable and useful to you? Tomorrow, I am going to share three good sources of that can assist your Adsense business.

Drive Traffic to Your Blog by Pinging
Friday, March 7, 2008
You want more blog traffic? Have you ever heard of pinging? If not, you can keep reading this post, because pinging can surely increase blog traffic to your site. Pinging is an act of sending a series of packets from one computer over a network or the Internet to a specific computer in order to generate a response from that computer. The other computer responds with an acknowledgment that it received the packets. Ping was created to verify whether a specific computer on a network or the Internet exists, and is connected.
Pinging and Blog Traffic
Certain Web sites want to know when you post something new to your blog so they can promote it to the world. By pinging these Web sites you can get the word out easily. This allows you to build blog traffic. Most blogging software will ping to at least one of these Web sites automatically. However, you can easily promote your new post to dozens more. The good thing about this, you don't have to visit their site each time you want to promote your blog.
There are a number of services designed specifically for tracking and connecting blogs. By sending a small ping to each service you let them know you've updated your blog so they can come check you out.
One way to maximize your pinging is by using a service called Ping-o-Matic. By pinging the Ping-o-Matic service you automatically send update notifications out to as many as 22 sites. Be careful not to ping too often though; many ping services will block you if your pings become over zealous.
Another Good Thing About Pingging
Since pinging alerts the major blog tracking sites it then helps search engines crawl and reindex your new content much quicker. This also helps your search engine positioning which is even better for your business. You should ping your blog every time you write new content and update your blog. This way others know immediately that your blog has been updated.

Simplified Google Pagerank Formula in Points
Wednesday, March 5, 2008
I am that kind of webmaster that aims to achieve better PR for all of my sites, though I am still reluctant to buy or pay for the backlinks, since I often hear those bad sides of them. My attempt to gain links from the others' sites is through my content and quality posts. When readers visit and read all the posts in your site and find it useful, they will be more likely to put a backlink to you for their respective readers.
I am going to share a new and yet simplified Google Pagerank formula with you. I came across with this is DigitalPoint. If you have a good memory, you may know that I have shared a similar formula in terms of links. But this time, this formula would be in points form. See which one you prefer.

There are some rules suggested by the author that you need to remember:
- If you receive a link to any related sites, multiply your points FROM THAT SITE ONLY by 7
- If you site is entirely original content multiply your points by 1.7
- If you buy any backlinks or attempt to artificially increase PR in any way multiply all points by 0 and go do something else
